Each year we set up a special extended program for our American participants. This time we are proud to offer a similar program to our other clients like you. With our "sports and adventure" program you extend your stay in Austria to 11 days and will be able to combine training sessions with sightseeing in Vienna and Salzburg and fun activities like the medieval olympics in Carinthia.

 

Sample itinerary: 

 

DAY 1 - Friday July 2, 2010

ARRIVAL IN VIENNA

• Your personal delegation manager will meet you at the Vienna Airport or station.

• Transfer from the Airport to a fun-packed afternoon with teambuilding activities

• Transfer to your hotel

• Overnight in your hotel***/**** or Sports academy

 

DAY 2 - Saturday July 3, 2010

VIENNA

• Have breakfast at your hotel

• Time for training with your coach and team mates in the morning.

• Visit of the Prater, with its many attractions the oldest and biggest amusement park of Austria. It holds the famous “Riesenrad” – This Giant Ferris Wheel is the official trademark of the town and even James Bond had an adventurous ride on the Riesenrad.

• Overnight in your hotel***/**** or Sports academy

DAY 3 - Sunday July 4, 2010

VIENNA

• Have breakfast at your hotel

• Time for training with your coach and team mates in the morning

• Discover the famous Ring boulevard with its magnificent buildings as the Opera house, museums, parliament, national theater and city hall – all in various architectural styles

• Visit the famous Castle of Schönbrunn afterwards (outside only)

• Bowling, party, music, fun and more at the “Cosmic Bowling” in the evening!

• Overnight in your hotel***/**** or Sports academy

DAY 4 - Monday July 5, 2010

VIENNA

• Have breakfast at your hotel

• Time for training with your coach and team mates in the morning

• Depending on the area of the hotel a relaxed afternoon is scheduled (swimming, boat ride or something similar)

• Local sport – Lattl Schiessen & some time to discover the city of Vienna with your coach & DM

• Overnight in your hotel***/**** or Sports academy

DAY 5 -  July 6, 2010

VIENNA- MAUTHAUSEN - MUNICH

• Have breakfast at your hotel

• Pack your luggage and departure for Munich

• On the way visit the former Concentration Camp Mauthausen, where you will be taken back into this dark era of Europe’s histor. Experience a darker aspect of European History and learn about the true nature of these camps as you delve into Mauthausen's terrible past.

• Once arrived in Munich - A Must-have for all Sport Fans: the Stadium-Tour through the Olympic Stadium. See the Olympic stadium in detail and learn more about its background and the way things work. Especially worthwhile is the former booths of the FC Bayern München and TSV 1860 München football club and the VIP area where you can enjoy an excellent view. You can also prove your ability to score goals at our goal wall. Who knows. Perhaps there's a talent scout nearby ..

DAY 6 - July 7, 2010

MUNICH- SALZBURG - CARINTHIA

• Have breakfast at your hotel

• Departure for Salzburg

• Stretch your limbs after a delicious meal and stroll through Salzburg’s charming alleys on a short DM City Walk!

• Board the bus and head towards Friesach in Carinthia!

• Tonight is your medieval night. Enjoy an unforgettable medieval dinner and .. sleep well in your tent or on mattresses in the castle (depending on weather conditions)

DAY 7 - Thursday July8, 2010

CARINTHIA- VIENNA

• Have breakfast

• Medieval Olympics: Participating in the Medieval Olympics will give all athletes the chance of a lifetime – a trip back in time. Modern sports will be transformed into medieval disciplines, so the students will not just compete but also learn about the Middle ages.

These are the medieval Olympic disciplines (at least 4 of them will be done):

 

Archery: Hit a the target with bow and arrow

Shooting: Hit the target in this medieval game using a metal spike called Chavelot

Equitation: Hop on a wheel barrow and collect the rings during the ring jousting

Tugofwar: Show your skill at the revival of this former Olympic discipline

Running: Engage in a stilt race

Gymnastics: Climb the rope ladder – sounds easier than it actually is!
